Windows 11 File Sharing without Password

Use the autologon tools from Microsoft instead of disabling account password?

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/downloads/autologon

Hi, hopefully this is the appropriate place to post this.

I'm trying to set up my new NAS PC, it's running Windows 11 home (23H2). I wanted to be able to upload files from my main PC (Windows 10 home 22H2), this was set up without issue until I realised that my NAS' final setup will be without peripherals (controlled via remote desktop when needed). So I removed the password from the NAS admin account so that in the event of a system restart the NAS returns to a operational state. This however broke the network sharing so that I just get a permission error when trying to access from my main PC (all over LAN btw). I've tried adding "everyone" permissions to the folders to be shared and disabling password protected sharing on both machines to no avail.

So I need either:

a) A solution to the network sharing without password or

b) A solution to booting into windows bypassing the password without removing it.

Many thanks in advance.

Please re-add the admin password immediately!

Make a new user account, and grant that user account full control permissions on the shared folders. Use the details from that NEW account to add the shared network folders to other devices.

This loops back to the problem of the system requiring me to plug a monitor and keyboard in for every reboot...

You see the conundrum, unless you can think of a login fix.

Btw this system is not in use yet so no need to overly panic about security at this stage (not even switched on unless I'm actively working in it)
