Weird noises.. "Eeee...e..a...e...e...eeeeeee"

I got a Sennheiser CX300 IEDs plugged into my PC, and whenever I download something or just browse the webs.. I hear this little "Eeee..ahiss..eeeeeeee" sounds..

What is that?

Problem with IEM's is they tend to be very low impedance and therefore sensitive to noise like that.

Yep this is caused by either the onboard audio, the low impedance of your IEMs or a combination of both. I get this too when using IEMs with my MacBook Pro. And their (Apples ) onboard audio is really quite good...

Not sure if this thing won't happen with an external DAC. I think not... Soundcard may still have it tho.
