Can't decide which is best for my situation. I'm leaning towards Cathode though.

I'm doing a Green and black thee, with a Green Res, and Green tubing. Only thing is the UV led strips give off a purple light.

Using a cathode will give me a nice glow without purple tint, but with a shorter lifespan.

LED strip will give me longer life span, but less UV glow, and more of a purple glow as well.

For my case which should I go. I already know a good LED strip, but don't know a good cathode.

LED strips over any cathode.

I would always get an LED strip, then are easy to find, easy to use, and don't need much wiring.

So an LED strip is better? Even if im just going for a Green and black theme? Won't it add a lot of purple light?

LED strips are just a nicer. They won't add too much purple light. You will only need green strips and it will look green.

Depends in the colour spectrum have you ever come across green and purple collide? two secondary colours clashing for attraction

Wait a minute..why would it add purple...You're crazy.

Red+Blue = purple

Yellow + Blue = green

Yellow + Red = orange.

If you add the black hue to the mix everything goes dark.

LED strips last way longer and are much easier to position and manage because they are flexible. If you get a high quality one from bitfenix or some other reputable manufacturer then it shouldn't have too much of a glow :) The glow mostly shows up in videos, not IRL

I don't want a green light though. If you seen Linus build he has just a black look, with his blue tubes glowing UV. That's what I was going to do, but with green.  didn't want a green or purple glow.

I was talking about UV led strips...

If you are still unsure, I would buy one of each and test it out yourself to see what your personal preference is. They are not that expensive...

Have you tried cathodes before?

I would suggest buying just one and see if you like it better or worse than the LED strips.

Also where did you get the UV LED strips from? I hope it was not from ebay or something...

Try some of the phobya or bitfenix UV strips.

I got a cathode kind of thing in my T-virus res and it look ok. doesn't give off purple.

I was going to buy a cool LED strip, since I needed to buy like 3 or 4 to light all the way around, I found some you can link together. Can't find them off ebay really but I don't know if it's by an OK company or not. Rather chain them together rather than having a bunch with all the cables.
