I don't use a lock screen because I don't want to have to deal with unlocking it every time I touch it.

I want an easy way to turn on/off the lock screen (from drop down menu) so that I can turn on the lock screen when I'm away from home and turn it off when I'm back home.

There should also be an option to lock the phone after a certain period of inactivity. Maybe 1 hour. This way you don't have to unlock it every time you pick it up, but if you forget it someplace, it will hopefully be locked before someone finds it.

Similar to Smart Unlock on Android (varies by manufacturer I believe)? I know Samsung and Pixel phones have this.

You can set it to location based and also connected device or on body detection and it will stay unlocked for the most part.

Use finger print to unlock the phone and it usually ask for code after each 27 hours.

This is best practice.

Otherwise you can use any device to trigger auto unlock like wifi or Bluetooth or anything really with smart lock.

Good luck.

I'm jank tinkerer if it works then it works.

Regardless of compatibility 🐧🖖

Smart Unlock

... i have this turned on, 95% of the time it simply doesn't work!

its a nice idea though,  but leave it to Samsung to mess up even something as simple i guess.

Ah, yah I've heard it's pretty shit on Samsung.

I've got a Pixel phone and it works probably 95% of the time with location and device detection used.
