Hey all, I'm wondering what would be the best way to use 1 computer in 2 locations, specifically for my gaming setup and also for my living room setup. My problem is that I have 3 different resolutions. My gaming setup has a 1440p ultra wide with a 1080p side monitor and my living room setup has a 4k tv and if I just used a long HDMI cable then windows would just expand my setup as a side monitor and whenever I open something it would open on a screen in another room. I looked into a reverse KVM switch but my gaming setup uses a display port and HDMI and my TV just uses HDMI. Any thoughts on how best to make a setup like this work with 1 centralized computer?

Honestly... Something like proxmox and VMs could work here...

But it depends on how you want them to behave, as in, do you mind them acting as individual systems that can access shared storage or want it to be one seamless system

If someone has helped you out on the forum don't forget to give them a reaction to say thank you!

Then just clone the display so it shows the same image on each screen

Long cable and use displayfusion for the monitor setups

What is the usecase where you need to have your gaming setup connected to your living room? Couch gaming? As I'm pretty sure you are better off picking up AndroidTV or Chromecast or something similar to any media consumption needs.

Thanks for the help guys! I ended up using a long optical HDMI and USB extender for wireless peripherals and then used display fusion to switch between 2 monitor profiles for when I'm at my desk and when I'm in the living room. So far the solution works great if anyone else is looking to replicate what I did. I saved a ton of money as otherwise I was going to buy a dedicated media center PC powerful enough to run some games as well but now I can just use my main gaming PC in both locations. Thanks all for the help!
