Every single browser I have is slow, except for IE. I know that IE is just generally faster than all the browsers, and I expect chrome to be buggy and give my life more problems, but firefox and opera, I did not expect to be this slow. For example, loading linustechtips, IE takes about 2 seconds, Chrome takes a whopping 24 and opera and firefox both take like 10-15 seconds. I'll post a video sometime.

What are your DNS servers?

Does this happen if using another connection?

Do you have speed problems with any other applications?

What version of Windows are you running?

We're probably gonna need more information here, my man.

Close your eyes for what you can't imagine.

Not really. I have a video of the problem. I want this solved. IE Adblock isn't that great.

That's not a very nice accusation. I'm uploading a video right now. Just wait like 20 minutes.

How do I check my DNS server?

It seems to be a consistent problem on 2 different networks, I got my neighbor to lend me her connection, wired a 100feet cable through the doors.

Speedtest says its fine.

WIndows 8.1 Pro

Any other info I need to provide?

cleaning the cache made it worse. before they loaded really slow, now it won't load at all.

1. his gpu is better than yours
2. a 2600k is by no means bad.

I was exaggerating. I case you didn't notice, his PC is pretty high end. Which emphasizes the irony.

try running CMDas administrator and type this:
netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt
Then reboot

If it didnt work I would make sure proxy servers are disabled in the networking control panel, and also check that your router is not blocking any ports used for browsing.

Try right clicking the network logo on the bottom right,  then click open network and sharing center, go to change adapter settings, right click your Ethernet adapter, click properties, scroll and click internet protocol version 4 and double click it, check the box that reads use the following dns servers, for the first type in 208.67.222.222 then 208.67.220.220 for the second and click ok. This will change your DNS server to opendns which is very reliable and fast which might fix your issue

Should I try Uninstaller Hotspot shield? It wasn't on when testing.

I had a smiliar problem before with chrome, and I donät know it just kindof fixed it self after a while, I think after the browser updated. See if there is like a "repair" button in chrome or in the control panel, and try that (would simulate and update, there may be missing files or something like that). IE doesn't have the issue because it doesn't update :P

All browsers update, but they do it in the background. You don't notice when it updates, it just does it on its own. This helps the designers not need to have hundreds of older versions in circulation, and keeps everyone on the same page.
