Hi, hope this is the correct section for this.

A quick rundown of the issue.

Our local area has had a marked rise in break ins recently and our police are loath to track down stolen stuff and just tell us to claim it on home contents insurance.

Without identifying the culprits nothing can be done. The few outdoor camera people have in the area are not great for getting facial details and are easy to spot. So...

i want to get a in house spy camera.

Sounds simply enough i've found a bunch on amazon already ..but.

They cant be disguised as something you'd want to steal, which include obvious cameras.

Something like a small mirror, or maybe a digital clock would work. But it has to be wired so it doesnt run out of battery.

I'd also like it to have a microphone, and ofc it will need nightvision of some kind otherwise its useless since most the break ins occur in the evening.

Wifi accessible.

Budget £100 GBP

if any1 has an links to available options please let me know.

Looking for cameras disguised as a mirror or Alarm clock, seems kind of sus.

Inside the home security cameras don't need to be disguised. They're already in your house, they're trying to get in and out as quickly as possible. And most of the time burglars aren't even looking for them inside. Who cares if they steal them, most these days are cheap and back up via WiFi or connect to your phone you can set them up to save to the cloud and access the footage regardless. If you properly install them in high to reach places or uncommon places they're not going to be touched. Having visible cameras is also a deterrent.

Digsuised cameras are usually used to creep on people, not catch burglars.

This.  Our cameras as obvious as FUCK!  I want you to know i have them, so you think maybe Bpb's house is easier to steal from.

Just get standard looking cameras. That should be enough to deter people from stealing your shit.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.
