2 asus MB both with corrupted uefi's

hi there first post here and i really need some help i had a asus m5a97 r.2 which i reutured because when you enter the bios there is nothing visible except the clock and when i move the mouse about little squares start to appear where the mouse had been updated the bios to the lastest version with no change. i then got a m5a99fx pro and to my joy exactly the same problem i have asked on other forums with no luck and as i hear asus tech support is useless i guess you guys and girls here are my last chance i really need to fix this problem as i need to set ssd to ahci and oc my ram and cpu..

i can post pictures/video if it helps ?

thanks in advance

George

might be related to a problem with the graphics adapter, what gpu do you have? have you tried booting up the whole system? does it work fine?

try pressing the "memok" button, maybe your ram is a bit set off. another option is re-flashing the bios from a pendrive.

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

i had to lol, sorry. asus has really outdone themselves with that "paint your own" uefi.

have you tried tried a different gfx card? or the graphics card in the second pcie x16 slot.

have you tried only one stick of ram?

how about a different vga\dvi\hdmi cable?

i see that in the movie your mobo has a bios version 2201.

As far as i can tell you, this is not the stock bios on which this board left the factory, so it seems to me that they have send you, a used mobo, with a bios update, that was screwed. i think they flashed the 2201 bios, because of the FX9xxx series cpu´s support.

Where did you buy it?

Offcourse try all the things mentioned the post above. also unplug all usb devices.

Thanks for the replys i have tried different cables haven't tried the gpu in different slot though like i said the other mobo i had did have the same problem and i checked that it had the original bios version that there shipped with (1006) i think but this one as mentioned above its probably been updated and i bought the mobo from amazon i will try updating to the latest version tomorrow and if that doesnt achieve anything what does changing the bios chip do? Lol

sorry, my bad.. if it works as you described, then your right, its rather unlikely.

what is your monitor res?

ive seen some issues past 1080p, but typically any bios is gonna handle 1920x1080 or less no problem.
