I'd take a look round at things like the White House and the Washington Monument.

I did a similar thing when I went to San Francisco to ski with some friends. We looked around places like Pier 39 and then Alcatraz etc.

There are websites too that tell you what to do when you're there.

Compatible with Windows 95

There are so many great monuments in the capital. Look at U.S. Capitol Building, the White House and the U.S. Supreme Court.....Three most important buildings.

I would go to georgetown if I was you. If you are into shows or concerts, check out John F. Kennedy Center for Performing Arts...Im pretty sure there are free events there too.

You can go to the Smithsonian.

This if you can, never been but it is somewhere I really want to go, I have been through DC at least a dozen times.

America is a land of many wonders that cannot be found in the frozen hinterlands of norway, we have things like sunshine and clear skies, and temperatures above 0.  We also have classy culinary treats like beef jerky and pork rinds.

I am impelled not to squeak like a grateful and frightened mouse, but to roar...

Take plenty of photos while over here and document your visit in a thread, that is if you want to. :)  Sort of like a build log, but a trip log. I am sure this would have some entertainment value.

Anyway, have a safe trip and I hope you have a wonderful time over here.

Oh, and welcome!
