Hi, I want to use a standard atx psu, a matx/atx mobo and a 7900xtx/4080 super, My case budget is up to $300

i need a compact case that comes with preinstalled fans, but no fans is okay, too. I don't mind if it doesn't have a psu compartment or is a fishtank, I just want something with compactness and reasonable airfliow.

Preferably no PCIe riser required, I am NOT looking for a ITX case.

I am running a Torrent Compact, its a good case for airflow. My temps are pretty awesome.

This is like asking for the most compact full size suv on the market.

At what point does it matter if it’s compact since it’s still a full size SUV.

ATX with an ATX psu is not compact in any way, especially not with a modern high end GPU where you can’t even go with slimmer atx cases since they’re all taller than full pci slot height.

matx with an atx psu and tall GPU and at best you’re saving 3 slots of height

can’t even do the real compact 7 or 4 slot cases since they use an sfx psu

reassess what you’re trying to build, does it actually need to be compact or are you just looking for a normal system

How about the Lian Li Lancool 205M?

I have one of these and this thing is huge for an matx case , up there with the sama maxcool for being effectively an atx case in footprint but slightly shorter

The ASUS Prime AP201 equals to 33L.

That's smaller than the 46L of the Torrent Compact and the 35L of the Lian Li Lancool 205M and same as your define 7 mini.

My old mATX case is smaller with only around 25L but it also can't hold a 4080 super.

I'm not saying the ASUS Prime AP201 is the best choice, I'm saying it's compact.

honestly i really like my INWIN 301... the airflow aint bad, my temps are good, on average lower than those gamery gamer builts with "front mesh and aios" lol...

the only downside is... its a pain to build... almost no space for cables, etc, BUT it is *very* small even for an matx case...

its probably a good case but it's huge... its also an atx case, that's why, matx cases can naturally be a lot smaller.

Yet im swapping it because frankly even just putting in a new ssd is like almost a full rebuild...
