How bad would it look to plugg in a ps3 to 4k tv. Will it look worse then a 1080p tv.

no, it will look exactly like a 1080p display

PS3s do not support 4k. The TV would just run in 1080p mode. So it would look exactly the same as a 1080p TV.

All PS3 games have different resolutions. For example Red Dead Redemption runs @ 720p. The PS3 would just upscale it to match the 4k TV. It would be like a 720p TV.

No. It will actually look slightly better or sharper but not much.

maybe it will look a little better because new 4k tvs might have much superior scalers
