I propose an alteration to this challenge... Use the same one as the guy in the video.

 

Only new parts, no open box, no used, no refurb.

Lots of "Kinda"s and "sort off"s in there.

He is correct, up to a point.  A lot of people who did have a desktop have no need of its power and capabilities, a tablet is adequate .  That is not to say there will be NO desktops just that there will be a lot fewer of them about.  There will be nothing like the amount in circulation that there is now.

 

Case in point; PC world ( a UK store) no longer actually sells bits and pieces (graphics cards, mobos, etc) they sell complete systems and last time I was there I was V dissapointed as there were a few aisles dedicated to laptops, tablets: same amount of aisles dedicated to toner, printer paper, ink etc and only half a dozen desktops .  Writing is on the wall, full blown desktops will be very rare indeed, and parts will only be availlable through specialist suppliers (internet shopping anyone?).  Not through any fault of their own it is just that they are now TOO capable.  After all how powerful a system do you need to watch YouTube videos, surf the web and e-mail?
