Then you might have a warranty you can use to get a replacement.

As for why, there's a lot of things that can cause a GPU to die that without giving any information about how it died or troubleshooting steps it's impossible to say. It could have been a faulty trace or soldering job at the factory that just broke down overtime, it could have been faulty VRM component that shorted out and killed the GPU core, it could have been a bad thermal pad/paste application at the factory and the card overheated, etc.

If you got it new, it is more than likely still under warranty. You can get in touch with the RMA department of the card's manufacturer (MSI, Gigabyte, Asus... Etc)

CPU: AMD Ryzen 3700x / GPU: Asus Radeon RX 6750XT OC 12GB RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x16GB DDR4-3200
MOBO: MSI B450m Gaming Plus NVME: Corsair MP510 240GB / Case: TT Core v21 PSU: Seasonic 750W / OS: Bazzite

some warranties work over second-hand sold cases with transferred owners, not all though and you need the papers or whatever proof of buying and warranty existing
