How can i make Dosbox games actually full-screen [16:9] ?

Mark Kaine

I don't care if its stretched i just want the game(s) in actual 16:9, no black bars/borders.

It works on my intel laptop, but on my Ryzen pc its just always kinda squished and there are black bars... i set scaling mode to full-screen in NVCP but that only stretches it horizontally not vertically (so there are bars on top/bottom)

maybe integer scaling? i dunno NVCP is so old fashioned compared to intel control panel (i suspect dosbox is running on integrated on my laptop, i haven't even checked cause it ran perfectly out of the gate, 16:9, no bars or borders)

# go to ~/.dosbox/

#Find the section [sdl]

fullscreen=true
fulldouble=false
fullresolution=desktop
output=opengl

#Search for the [render] section:

aspect=false
scaler=normal2x

#save and test

hope this works 🙂
