are there any am4 boards with pci

Go to solution Solved by RONOTHAN##,

Yeah, there's a couple boards that did. Most of them are B350 and A520 boards, so you're not going to really get anything good with a PCI slot, but they exist. First one to come to mind is the B350 Tomahawk, though there's a few more.

The two in stock at the moment in the US are both Asus Pro series boards. One A520 and one B550. The VRMs look pretty weak, so I wouldn't recommend going above a 65W CPU - so R7 5700X/5700G at the most.

Why don't you rather get a PCie to PCI adapter ?

Buying a crappy board to use old cards isn't really a good thing 😛

The question is what cards?

Very very good chance that they cannot function properly on a more modern os than win 7 if it even has a driver for 7 at that point.

yeah, my b550m "mortar" (again) cost 200 bucks... only bought it for the wifi/bt lol... worth it, my Dualshock 4 doesn't even work without Bluetooth! UwU

^like, technically it should but as soon I plug it in windows crashes the driver lmao. gg

Just realize you’re buying a relatively crippled board to ‘mess around.’

Also what country do you live in? If you have a PCI Tv tuner it possibly won’t work anymore in the US at least.

Is that something you do?  Or want to get into?

Cuz it's old and janky these days, so ismf it's just to try out for 5 minutes, cuz you'll get bored fast, is it worth it?
