Replace Stock Cooler?

So I have an AMD system (Yes I know, AMD Lover ACTUALLY has an AMD system) and it has the stock cooler on it. The case its in is an ITX case and its extremely low profile the stock cooler has maybe another 1/2" tell the side panel and its not that the CPU gets to hot it runs around 50° to 60° C but I'm starting to fill it up with other parts and I'm wanting to move more air around in the case so I was wondering if this CPU cooler would work?

I wouldn't do hardcore overclocking, but yeah. I've used small Noctua coolers before and they are nice.

I believe it will fit since it's low profile. But don't take my word for granted, you should check your case specifications and see if that cooler won't mess with the RAM modules too.

 

If those temperatures are on idle i would change the cooler or reaply the thermal compound.

What's the CPU? Only really rated for 65WTDP.

Scythe Big Shuriken 2 or Cooler Master Gemini II M4 are other very good options, if you don't mind noise that much (only a couple db) they can be even cooler options.

Or if you can a afford a couple bucks more, getting a Prolimatech Pro-Sam17 with a premium fan (it doesn't come with a fan) would be a much better solution.

95w TDP will that work?

My CPU is a 95w TDP. Is this still okay since the cooler is only 65w

@AMD Lover - 95W will not be okay unless you are on an open test bench.

If you use an Intel Chip, the L9i can do it, but only in a well ventilated case.

I'd probably recommend looking at other coolers.

Okay just saying though the stock cooler HAS to be worse than this

@AMD Lover - Not necessarily. Maybe. I have no experience with AMD stock coolers. I know the L9i's in some of my office builds are slightly worse performing under load (on an 84W TDP i5) than the Intel Stock cooler, but I needed the low profile. It definitely needs good airflow though. I didn't risk it on my mITX capture rig though, and instead got a Noctua NH-L12 which can be run at 66mm of clearance.

 

If you are happy to take the risk, if you don't tax the CPU too hard it might be okay. Depends on your usage.
