Activation key not working

My cousin did a clean install of windows 8.1 and now he cant activate windows, anything that can help?

Try to activate it over the phone. I did that today. Usually their automatic activation has a limit.

I'd suggest staying on the line, unless you're willing to buy a new copy it's your only way.

Search Windowsd for ´slui 4´ and press enter. Then select your county and call the phone number it gives you. Depending on the time and the country you are in you will wither be given a person or a robor. Both of them will ask you for the code on the screen, and you give it to the, They will then read a code back to you. Enter that code, and Windows should get activated.
