If I bought an SSD to use as a boot / games I play often drive then a 5400rpm drive for storage?

CPU: i5 4430 PSU: XFX 550w Ram: 8gb Patriot Viper 1600mhz


Motherboard: MSI H87M-G43 Case: Fractal Design Define R4


SSD: 840 Evo 250gb, 512gb MX100 GPU: MSI GTX 980TI Gaming Cooler: Hyper 212 Evo

Yes that should work, for just general storage I wouldn't choose a 5400rpm drive, 7200rpm 1TB+ drives are pretty cheap these days

Yeah it works and no hassle to do, however you need to remember to change the installation folder, since by default it would go to your C drive which would be your SSD

Absolutely, it's actually quite a common practice.

Very common, it's what I do. SSD for OS and a few games/programs, a 2nd HDD for documents and some other games/programs, and then 2 HDDs specifically for my media collection.

If you mean using SSD for OS and HDD for everything else - yes, it will work.
