Does I5 13600 needs aftermarket cpu bracket?

No, its not necessary, usually the cpu bends by a few micrometers meaning the cpu cooler has bad contact with the heat spreader and doesnt cool as effectively, but for an i5 13600 not K it should generally be okay, however its usually on a case by case basis, if your temps arent great you might need to implement one, but try without first and see if temps are okay

Is millimeters not micro. 😉

@Alan.YosephA contact frame is worth it imo, it's pretty cheap and you'll be able to get better cooling from a cheap cooler:

Thermalright LGA1700-BCF BLACK or V2

Edit: Just wanted to add this:

I heard from a guy that 13600 has bending issue with aftermarket cooler to solve this problem people use after market cpu bracket is this absolute necessary? Gonna use msi b760 gaming plus wifi mtx mobo for the build.

Thank you in advance!

Exactly my thought. After looking into it, then I'm shocked this isn't talked more about. Haven't had an Intel CPU since 9th gen.

Using an aftermarket CPU bracket will void the CPU and motherboard warranties. Still, the bracket does make a difference and worth it if one is willing to assume the risk of changing the mounting mechanism.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.

If that will void the warranty then shall not try this untill my warranty is gone

Overclocking void the warranty as well, still if you keep the old socket mounting, you can simply mount it again before sending the motherboard in for RMA. There's no way to tell if it was taken off, also if you bent the CPU you might void as well 😅

That CPU will be churning out ~250W of heat at multicore load and ~200W while gaming... I'd be trying to give it every chance to get a clean contact on the cooler I could!

That said, no need for the deBauer €40 funky one... there's cheaper alternatives that will get 90% of the effect for 10% of the price 🙂
