Testing damaged motherboard

Yeah, I’ve already gotten it refunded from the buyer but he said I can keep the board anyway so I’ll definitely still give it a try

Today I received a seller refurbished Gigabyte B650M Gaming Wifi motherboard which was poorly packaged and came with bent pins (cpu pins were fine, just system fan pins etc) which I have bent back. I have every pc part except for a cpu which is currently shipping. The motherboard doesn’t have any led lights on it so I’m wondering if there is any way I can validate if it is working without a cpu?

There isn't, though with how beat up those headers are, there's a decent chance something else on the board was also broken. Unless you got it for an absolute steal of a price, I'd likely just return it and get something you can have a bit more faith won't give weird issues.

OK, that makes a bit more sense. Yeah, you might as well see if you got a free motherboard.
