Advice on first-time build

This is the first pc build I've ever made and I want it to be able to run most games at 1440p 60fps. Everything here should be compatible, but I'm unsure how optimized it is or if I'm overspending in some areas. Any advice is appreciated. I live in the US and don't want to spend more than the total here

It's a pretty solid build overall. I'd personally change the arctive freezer 34 for a Thermalright Peerless Assassin, 10$ cheaper and better performance as well.

It's fine but for 100 bucks more you could go AM5

Eh his budgets a budget.

Am5 isn’t that much better yet, if he doesn’t want to upgrade for a long while then it’ll be better.

I know, I’m not being mean. I’m just saying, if he has a tight budget, it’s not possible. Tbh I agree with you.

My thing was more that rn am4 is better value.

7600 trades blows with a 580X3D and a 5700x is nowhere near that level of performance

Sorry I meant price to performance, but you’re right. But in tight budgets <~1400usd then am4 is kinda forces

Isn’t it pretty unreliable?

Omg I forgot about the 7500f. Completely agree, this is probably the best build here.

tier C is fine. I haven't heard any complaints. I think that's Apevia galaxy (would steer clear of that)

reviews make fun of it but to me it's perfectly decent

the thing is, they didn't release it on the mass market for some reason, so the only place I've seen it is aliexpress, it's great value, but isn't seen on the prices of pcpartpicker

7700x + 6800xt + 32gb 6000c32

microcenter 7700x bundle for 370$ covers the cpu + mobo + rams

used 6800xt should be ~300$, budget definitely fits a 6900xt/6950xt but not worth the extra 100$ those would cost

ssd is now an actually fast dram gen4, can definitely be upgraded to a 2tb like the mushkin tempest at 103$ (dram gen3) or a gm7000 at 125$ (dram gen4)

upgraded cooler to a phantom spirit evo since its a dual tower and will obviously destroy an old single tower cooler, it even looks nicer too

upgraded psu to an 850w gf1 which still retains a 10 year warranty

so now you have a much faster cpu on a platform that isnt dead which means you can drop in a new cpu without replacing the board and ram (ram will either do 7600 if m die or 10000+ if a die) alongside a much faster gpu with abit more vram, a faster ssd that you probably wont notice but it was only a few $ extra, and an 850w you wont have to upgrade for awhile unless 90 class cards suddenly require 1000w psus, all of this for cheaper than your original build (-monitor cost) which also means you might be able to get a better monitor now

I considered AM5, but I've heard it still has kinks that need to be ironed out, so AM4 is a bit more reliable in that regard while also being more affordable. Is that not the case anymore? This build has been my first dive into the various PC parts, so assume I know very little on this.

Not the case since it released. Am5 is just as stable as am4 nowadays. With the 7500f you can get a decent system for cheapish

From what I've seen the 7500f performs slightly better than the 5700x, but also has fewer cores and threads. Could that pose a problem later down the line, or is that nothing to worry about?

they're about the same in productivity and it's better in gaming so no, nothing to worry about

5700X is between 5800X and 5600X. 7500F is the 7600 without an igpu
