Still looking for a monitor

I am still looking for a 32" 4K Flat IPS monitor preferably with a refresh rate above 60Hz. Do such non-gaming monitors exist?

Wouldn't for example 75Hz or 100Hz be noticeable and more relaxing compared to 60Hz even for non-gaming?

I mean yeah, though in past 4K meant, you didn't even reach 100fps anyway, at least on demanding graphics, things have changed though,

 

still, 240Hz on 1080p is much easier than on 4K,

 

for reference, 1440p is 3 686,400 pixels, 4K is 8 294,400 pixels, it's more than double,

 

you're trying to fit 8 294,400 pixels in a 32" diagonal area, you're also trying to get these 8 294,400 pixels in this 32" area to change color more than 60 times per second, technology to achieve this may or may not be quite expensive.

No.  60 hz for watching youtube is fine, browsing the web, or running Excel.

 

It's the way fast cars are usually labeled as sportscars even though anyone can drive them slow. So get a "gaming" monitor and use it for non gaming.

 

Not a hard thing.

he said he wanted it above 60hz, unless we dig up some old 75hz or 100hz panel it's the easy find, "gaming" is just marketing anyway.

 

even the cheaper m32u is 500usd, and i wouldn't recommend that over the ktc.

Thanks for the suggestions, but I currently use a 28" 4K 60Hz monitor and I am looking for something noticeable bigger and more relaxing. That's why I asked about 32" and 75Hz or 100Hz. I don't play games and I don't want to pay a lot more for something I don't really need.

Why do you think a 75 or 100Hz monitor is going to be more "relaxing"?  Do you think you'll have noticeably less eye strain at a higher res?

I don't need 144Hz, but I read that people who tried a higher refresh rate would never go back to a lower one. Is there a doubt that there is less eye strain at a higher refresh rate? And who are these numerous people?

Are they talking about gaming?  Everyone here says that and they may not actually include the words "gaming" or not.  Like I can say I prefer higher refresh rate to lower, but there is no context there.

 

For non-gaming... I use everything from my 100Hz UW to dual 60Hz 27" 1080p displays at the office.  No issues with either.

 

Also, no issues using a 60Hz laptop next to the 100Hz display, going back and forth.  No eye strain from that at all.

 

So please understand the context people are discussing refresh rates about, first and foremost.
