Here's a stupidish question...

BaidDSB

My Desktop 3070 is connected to my monitor with a DP cable.

If i connect my laptop with a HDMI cable on the same monitor, can i with input mods between DP and HDMI, can i see both my Desktop and my laptop on the same monitor?

Likely not at the same time. There are some monitors that have a split screen or picture-in-picture feature that would let you use both simultaneously - it's somewhat common on ultra-ultra-wides (32:9) to offer two 16:9 inputs in split-screen. But otherwise, it's a pretty rare feature.

Yes, as long as your two computers use different inputs on the monitor, you can switch between them and see them one at a time.

That's just going to switch your devices and monitor at the same time, you'll still only see either the desktop or the laptop.
