Air cooler suggestions

The Dudareno

I've got a Asus rog strix Z790I mobo with 12700k. I'm having a hard time finding a good compatible cooler. Any suggestions? Please??

I'd prefer an air cooler

The Deepcool AK620 /  ZERO DARK should fit on this board. Its a sexy looking cooler as well.

if you're going for looks and performance then this ZERO DARK or the DIGITAL would look quite a bit better than some heat pipes

Peerless assassin isn't compatible with the motherboard

The reason why I didn't pick the Peerless Assassin is that it might conflict with the motherboard due to its layout.
I am of course not 100% sure but PcPartPicker warns against it, this warning did not show on the AK620.

Good point, but the thermalright PS120SE seems like it'll be fine

Yep!  That should work just fine 🙂  I do prefer the AK620 Dark though in terms of Aestethics but won't cant deny the price of the Phantom Spirit.

The Phantom Spirit Evo is a nice cooler, and it can fit a T30 between the stacks no problem.

Well, I have the same CPU on an Asus TG H670-Pro Wifi D4, and it isn't difficult to keep cool (but I think maybe mine is just lame lol). I had no problems in the heat of summer with the Noctua U12A, even when I forgot to put one of the fans back on. I chose that cooler because of all the stuff in the way, like caps and VRMs, and I didn't want the cooler overhanging the RAM slots and the M.2_1 slot.

I've been using computers since around 1978, started learning programming in 1980 on Apple IIs, started learning about hardware in 1990, ran a BBS from 1990-95, built my first Windows PC around 2000, taught myself malware removal starting in 2005 (also learned on Bleeping Computer), learned web dev starting in 2017, and I think I can fill a thimble with all that knowledge. 😉 I'm not an expert, which is why I keep investigating the answers that others give to try and improve my knowledge, so feel free to double-check the advice I give.

My phone's auto-correct is named Otto Rong.🤪😂

While I appreciate the should/might fit comments. I was looking for anyone withe the same mobo/CPU combo and what they are using. I should have been more clear. My bad

all of these suggestions are still going to fit though. Motherboards are designed to a roughly standard spec, and coolers likewise, so that there are minimal to no conflicts between them
