Freezer Case?

piggykid1

So I had this idea and was wondering would it work.

Say you buy a freezer almost the size of you case then cut holes in the freezer for io ports and leave side panels of the case off.

Is it safe and would it work?

Thanks!

Yes as long as the freezer is off or non functional, don't expect to have a freezer cool your components.

You'd have to cut the holes in the roof of the freezer. Also your PC will likely melt some of the frost/ice in there, meaning water will be dripping all over your components. In short, probably not.

I think it will be better to have a open test bench outside i the snow than in a freezer...

If you can squeeze a dehumidifier in there as well as good airflow .. it could work

I love it, I am hoping to upgrade to the new one soon. Mine is getting a little slow, though it is fine for 1080p stuff, the cards are equivalent to 2 desktop 7850s in crossfire (r9 270 are the modern re brand I believe, similar anyway)

Well I am somebody that finds value in alienware and apple... sue me, I am willing to pay for premium products, it seems most people on here are not. If I can afford it, why not get something premium

probably will. It is quite heavy though so not good for portability, fine for taking to fiends houses/LANs etc >< hence the little laptop you see in my sig which I use for travelling

Yes they should. Dell is the devils favorite company.

They lie, they will remove warranty if you do ANYTHING what so ever. They are overpriced for whats in it. Have fun talking to a guy in india if you have a problem. I don't trust them one tiny bit when it comes to quality. There have been so many cases over the years where their quality has been severely lacking.

Oh and they weight more than most desktops.
