Budget (including currency): 200-225$

Country: amazon.co.uk

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for:  Ryzen 5 7600X, 64GB DDR5 6000 , RTX 4070 (future proofing for a r9 x3d or threadripper in the future)

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):
Must be absolutely silent or closest to silent as can be, and reliable. 1000 watts. Preferably atx 3.0, but not a deal breaker because i bought a separate 5.0 cable from corsair when I got the gpu, and from my understanding that should also be good enough. Be quiet coolers are unfortunately not on the table as they don't ship to my country.

Did not expect myself to struggle the most with choosing a psu so here we are. My current choices:
MSI MPG A1000G
Corsair RM1000x 80 PLUS Gold
DeepCool PX1000G
NZXT C1000 PSU

Preliminary searches suggest I should stick with the tried and trusted rmx1000, but I feel the MSI and deepcool are not bad choices, all things considered this psu should not be stressed at all for now, and the near future as my system draws around 500watts and I wont be upgrading in a year or two so reliability is very important for me, but I see 10 year warranties on most psus so I feel if treated correctly should last a long time.

What do you guys think I should go for?

Lmao I did not want to read all that, but apparently there is something called the PSU tier list, check that out before choosing a PSU, cuz certain one have been seen to be worse than others at the same price point.

Made in the depths of Hell, I mean Alaska >:)

Spoiler

Hehe, 1 more time:

Spoiler

You're cool 😎

You didn't have to read it. Checked a PSU tier list. 3 of their A rated PSUs are known to have horrible coil whine and in the case of the NZXT CGold 1200W just straight up blows up and dies, often killing other components.

Have you considered the RM1000e (2023), Focus GX-1000 ATX 3.0, XPG Core Reactor II, and Toughpower GF3 TT?

I've read too many reddit threads and forum posts about the RM1000e using cheaper parts and people reporting coil whine and noise issues in general, and that's a no go for me. Seems like the rm1000x is the most logical choice here.

I've got a GX-850 that I upgraded from a GM-550, ran that little 550W at the redline and it was whisper silent. Warm, but whisper silent. And a 10-year warranty from a company like seasonic is hard to beat.

Dang this seems good. Shame it also doesn't deliver here. Thanks though!

What do you guys think I should go for?

Have you looked at seasonic or are they too expensive?

Also, why 1000w?

I see you want a beefier cpu in the future, but I've run a 4070 + Ryzen 5600x on a fanless platinum 460w psu. So you are going waaay above what is strictly necessary here.

In any case, try looking through this site/database.

https://www.cybenetics.com/index.php?option=power-supplies

Its run by Aris who is one of the big names in PSU testing

mITX is awesome! I regret nothing (apart from when picking parts or have to do maintainance *cough*cough*)

What country are you shipping to? Seasonic should be available in the UK.

This is the unit I'm currently using:

The issue with seasonic is it ships in months and tbh i cannot stand the fan noise and coil whine of my current psu so delivery time is very important.

The reason im going for a beefier psu is upgrading later down the line, really dont wanna buy another psu for a while and im sure im gonna upgrade my build again "soon" ish and also because, in the case of corsairs rm1000x, the fan doesnt spin unless ur drawing more than 500w, and thats what my build draws at max capacity, and at that point, all my fans are spinning at max so fan noise wont be an issue. So I'm assuming other 1000w power supplies are similar in the sense that since im drawing so little power there will be no noise. I hope so atleast.

I think I've decided on the corsair haha. It's the most reputable and i think fits my needs well.
Thanks guys!

Gets to the most remote place in Scotland in 1 week (ZE2 9PN) , anywhere inhabited by people is Tuesday if you don't order tonight (ZB10 1FE)

Did you update with your postcode? It defaulted to US for me as well. You're going Amazon.co.uk for your UK postcode right? $61.65 delivery from Ireland to the US sounds right.

I'm shipping to Egypt, not Us. Sorry I forgot to reply to your question haha.
It's all good, I've just ordered the corsair. Now we wait!

Ahhh. The site was amazon.co.uk so I just assumed it was the UK/continental Europe. I see why the shipping is so long
