I had two Samsung 980 Pros in Windows 11's RAID 0 so I would have double the space. Now I've upgraded and I no longer need this RAID I need drives. But if I remove one of them the system no longer sees another. I can't find any obvious solution. It was easy to create RAID partition but it seems very hard to disable.

Idk it should be in bios but that's besides the point. YOU HAVE TO BACK UP YOUR DATA ON ANOTHER DRIVE. Raid 0 works by putting half the data on one drive and half on the other, so if one drive fails or you unraid them, all your data will be deleted off of them. Imma leave it to someone else to tell you how to do it cuz idk. Make sure to list your motherboard.

I edit my messages more than not –

Probably some dude on the internet

Backup your stuff. Disable raid and reinstall is the easiest way

Found this on reddit and this is the correct way to go about it imo: https://www.quora.com/How-do-I-transfer-Raid-0-into-a-non-Raid-drive-without-losing-OS-system-files

You would have to do this through the BIOS by deleting the RAID array and make sure you backup like other people have said. Now next time if you want to avoid this type of thing I would suggest to use LVM that way from a single command line you can remove the pv(physical volume) and add more to the existing config without a hassle, though you may not be using Linux.
