Fortnite huge FPS Drops on high end PC

I just built a PC about two weeks ago and am experiencing huge FPS drop during the last couple days in fortnite. Every other game seems to be running fine, but in fortnite my fps will drop from 360 to 40 for a split second.

Specs:

-Ryzen 7 7800x3d

-Rtx 4090 Msi x trio

-Cl30 triden-z ram 6000mhz (expo enabled)

-Asus B650-f MOBO

-Rm1000x Corshair PSU

-nazt krasken 360mm AIO (temps are good)

Monitor your GPU usage. You have a huge CPU/system bottleneck there. 

 

Your system is for 4K high refresh gaming, eventually 1440p ultra-high refresh (240Hz+), and also good for 1440p ultrawide high refresh.

 

You have two options besides raising your game settings - upgrading your monitor or downgrading your graphics card.

You can't upgrade your CPU, there isn't a stronger gaming CPU on the market.

The monitor I Currently use is a 360hz 1080p gaming monitor, I don't mean to sound rude when I say this But I'm pretty sure a significant amount of pros use a 4090 and a high end CPU when gaming, I don't understand than how they would be able to get constant high frames with no issues, that's if the hardware was the main issue im saying. What you said makes sense, but I don't understand how they are able to get around it than?

Probably using higher settings, virtual super-resolution, and such. I'm not sure. Them being "pros" does not mean they are doing it right.

Monitor your GPU usage and you'll see I'm right. The GPU drops to a low power state when under almost no load.

for example in COD i got *much* better framerates with high settings than with low settings, at 1080p and 1440p... i think that's what they're saying...  some games are like that (more generally, they need certain settings on certain hardware configurations)

 

also fortnite is known to drop frames, just because it works for some doesn't mean it works for everyone,  except you have the *exact* same hardware and software,  then by all means it should also work identically. 

 

also just a tip, instead of looking what "pros" do it would probably be better to look into how game engines work as its actually really hard to pin point these issues for someone not there, while its usually not a huge problem to figure these configuration issues out in person  - that said as mentioned especially fortnite seems to vary wildly between different hardware configurations due to its terrible optimization, so it may not even be possible to fix it at all (network issues like routing could also play a role possibly)
