Hello, my GPU literally smoked I was playing cs2 and all of a sudden the screen went black and the PC was still on, I took it out now and it smells like burnt lithium or something and I just want to know how to turn on my PC via the integrated GPU until I get a new one.

What are your system specs? You may or may not even have an integrated GPU.

Until you determine the cause of what happened, I wouldn't just chuck another graphics card in their to its possible doom.

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.

My point is since you don't know what caused the problem, the exact same thing may happen to a new GPU when you get one.

What is your power supply?

That CPU has an IGP, so you should be able to plug the display into the motherboard, provided it's not disabled in BIOS.

Have you tried simply plugging the monitor into one of the motherboard's graphics ports? Also, what CPU do you have (i.e. does it even have an iGPU)?

Yes I've tried plugging into the iGPU and I know it has it cuz my PC had a blue screen error which I later discovered was because of the SSD and I took the GPU out at the time so I know it has a GPU integrated

What 980 Ti do you have? Does the motherboard show any physical damage anywhere? Any burnt areas, including components?

Not relevant anymore anyway since the card is dead.

MSI GTX 980 Ti, nothing seems burnt except that the GPU smells like burnt lithium

I believe that card has a backplate, so any damaged areas are likely going to be covered with a backplate, or the heatsink itself. So you'll need to take it apart in order to peer at it.

Does the motherboard show any damage at all? You'll have to look at various locations.

Did you plug your display cable into your motherboard when you tried to turn your computer on again? Did you take out the graphics card while the PC was on?
