3x PCIe cables or Corsair 600W PCIe 5.0 12VHPWR Type-4 PSU Cable

Maxbrown

Hello,

I have just done a new build using the RM 850x PSU and an MSI 4080 Super.

In the PSU box came 2x PCIe cables that piggyback to have 4x 6 + 2 PCIe connectors.

in the box for the 4080 SUPER, it said to use 3x individual PCIe cables and to not use one that is piggy-backed.

My question is can I use the Corsair 600W PCIe 5.0 12VHPWR Type-4 PSU cable (https://www.corsair.com/uk/en/p/pc-components-accessories/cp-8920334/premium-individually-sleeved-12-4pin-pcie-gen-5-12vhpwr-600w-cable-type-4-red-black-cp-8920334) or should I buy a Type 4 PCIe cable and run the 3.

thanks

That is quite literally what it is designed for.
