Very difficult to give a parts list for something like this because if you want to actually use retro parts you're almost completely dependent on eBay and what you can find secondhand locally. 

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.

An FX8350 on AM3 or i5-3470 on LGA1155 is probably as high as you can go for XP but may have issues with some of the win98 stuff.

 

Athlon XP (up to 3000 I think?) were baller win98 CPUs paired with a Voodoo 3 2000 AGP - but finding a compatible mobo and might be a challenge.
