Corsair H105 Busted in case

Truncale20

Computer AIO tube busted it looks like it blew from the cooling element on the CPU.

What would be next steps for this and what would be a good way to test to see what might have been messed up.

  1. Remove the AIO.
  2. Disassemble everything. Wear gloves and use an anti-static band.
  3. Make sure that the PC is completely dry. Use a hairdryer on low heat to blow any trapped water out and carefully blot it up. While holding a part in a PC way (yes, that's a pun), tap the edge somewhat lightly against your hand or a rubber pad to dislodge trapped water. Blot up and repeat until no water comes out. Try tapping other edges to make sure. Some components are more delicate so be cautious! ⚠️
  4. Ideally, leave it disassembled in a warm area with a fan blowing on all of the components for a few days.
  5. Double check for water before reassembling.
  6. Put it all together.
  7. Turn it on.

I've been using computers since around 1978, started learning programming in 1980 on Apple IIs, started learning about hardware in 1990, ran a BBS from 1990-95, built my first Windows PC around 2000, taught myself malware removal starting in 2005 (also learned on Bleeping Computer), learned web dev starting in 2017, and I think I can fill a thimble with all that knowledge. 😉 I'm not an expert, which is why I keep investigating the answers that others give to try and improve my knowledge, so feel free to double-check the advice I give.

My phone's auto-correct is named Otto Rong.🤪😂

Okay I have it all out by a fan now, any use in calling the manufacturer and seeing about a warranty or anything. It’s probably 8 years old. And if some newer parts are messed up by the AIO would those be under warranty for that?

Same idea as this very recent video.

If you have access to IPA you can get the computer back up and running a lot quicker.

I'm not actually trying to be as grumpy as it seems.

I will find your mentions of Ikea or Gnome and I will /s post.

I do, just spray it in everything? I would assume a q-tip would be fine to apply.

How long should I leave it?
