I'd get a FX-6300, put a bit more money towards the MB to get an ATX 970A motherboard, a Caviar Blue or Barracuda instead of Caviar Black, and maybe a M500 instead of the V300, if the price difference is very small.

How much does that cost? (do you have a PCpartPicker link?)

Get the cheapeast 1600Mhz 2x4GB kit that you can find

looks quite good imo.

You could however:

1. Get only a 6300. the 50 adds like 100mhz.

2. get a 265/270 instead of the 750ti, depending on the price

3. get a lower psu, like 500w

4. 1600mhz ram is enough

5. I dont like the case, but whatever :D

OP this is my suggestion for replacement, what i didn't included you could go with what feels good for you:

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks

CPU: AMD FX-6300 3.5GHz 6-Core Processor ($109.99 @ NCIX US)

CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper TX3 54.8 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler ($18.16 @ NCIX US)

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3P ATX AM3+ Motherboard ($84.99 @ Newegg)

Video Card: Sapphire Radeon R9 270X 2GB Dual-X Video Card ($189.99 @ TigerDirect)

Total: $403.13

(Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available.)

(Generated by PCPartPicker 2014-05-22 09:08 EDT-0400)

This CPu will overclock easily and will reach 4ghz with only a multiplier bump in the bios...this GPU is a good 45% faster than a GTX 750ti and should not cost you much more...if it's too much look for r9 270 or r7 265, both still outperform the GTX750ti for gaming:

If you can't find that motherboard, look for ASUS M5A97 (EVO) or gigabyte 970A-UD3

CPU cooler if you could afford CM hyper 212 it would be even better.

| CPU: Core i7-8700K @ 4.89ghz - 1.21v  Motherboard: Asus ROG STRIX Z370-E GAMING  CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i V2 |

As many suggest, the FX 6300, is going to provide you almost identical performance.

You talked in other thread about OCing- I don't recommend doing so on a low end board. See the power delivery system, power phase design, and VRMs? Even if it could deliver more wattage, OCing it's going to get them pretty hot. Without a heatsink on them they might toast.

exactly, that's the reason i suggested much better quality motherboards that won't break the bank...the gigabyte 970A-UD3p for example as an 8+2 digital power phase design with high qualiy heatsinked VRM's and mosfets.

sth cheaper than the gigabyte 970A-UD3p?

if you intend on overclocking the hell out of this CPU, 3 options:

970A-UD3P

970A-UD3

M5A97 EVO

Everything else is 990FX chipset and cost much more.

now, some other board with 4+1 or 4+2 power phase will do good with the FX-6300 but no crazy overclocks with voltage bump (no problem with going to 4.0ghz on stock voltage or 4.2ghz with a SMALL voltage bump for example) those boards are:

970A-DS3P

M5A97 R2.0

ASROCK 970 Extreme 3

ASROCK 970 Extreme 4

Anything cheaper than that you take a risk of VRM's failure..

Avoid if possible MSI 970 boards
