Is this PSU ok for 15€ ?? I'm looking for the cheapest PSUs possible that are not chinese

Your chances of getting a PSU for 15 euro that isn't terrible are very slim and while they're pretty much all built in China, they're going to be stuffed full of Chinese capacitors (not that this is the biggest problem with a PSU of that price). Your best chance would be looking at old good (preferably tier A) PSUs, I'd rather have a very old good one, than a newer terrible one.

It's really old (15+ years) and without the extra cables it's pretty useless. Find something else.

If you are buying second hand power supplies make sure they come with all the cables included.

Edit: Was released 2009.

Naw, for cheap and low end systems, B and C Tier are more than fine.

Don't forget that people use substandard PSU's the world over, in the millions.  We have no reliable failure rates to quantify and a lot of that list is theory about construction, components and design.

B & C still work fine, they're just not as good.  Think Ford or Chevy 🙂

New? I'd agree with you that they're alright, but for 15 euro? I'd rather not.

They're often a lower tier because they use components (especially borderline acceptable capacitors) less likely to last and anything decent for 15 euro is likely to be very old.

And of course when the budget allows it we can recommend something better however here its gonna be a try to fins something that wont blow up.

Used however I steer away from c tiers unless not possible since well they do age less gracefully

Potentially a older seasonic s12II?

also op what will this be powering? That thermaltake is absolutly not something you should use.

Oh I am not advocating $15 PSUs at all.  Just lower Tier is viable, new or near new of course.

The one in the OP, no,

It literally says "made in china"

anyways, even if most of them are Chinese, this one just being this cheap is a no go for any system with good/important components in it. if its just for testing or something, it'll be fine
