You download a windows 7 ISO file, create a bootable USB stick with rufus, plug it into the target machine and boot into it. Then just follow the instructions in the installer.

You just have to select the correct disk partition when the installer prompts you to do so.

English is not my first language, so please excuse any confusion or misunderstandings on my end.

I like to edit my posts a lot.

IIRC getting Windows 7 to run from a USB drive isn't gonna be easy.

I have installed win7 before, but only on an internal drive. Installing operating systems on external drives can be quite difficult, unless it's a Linux distro, because windows installer often doesn't recognize them as boot drive candidates.

Even installing off a USB drive may be a no-go if it's plugged into a USB 3.0 port. USB 2.0 should work out of the box. I remember slipstreaming Intel's USB 3.0 drivers into the boot and install .WIMs back when I was building Windows 7 images.

As for running Windows 7 off a flash drive, remember Windows To Go? It never gained traction, but it seemed to work... okay.

@Windows 7 lover I'd recommend getting a big SATA SSD and chopping it up into partitions for the different OSes you want to run. Install the different Windows versions oldest to newest, then install Linux last, all on their own partitions.

I sold my soul for ProSupport.

Random aside, Windows To Go still exists, you can do it with Windows 11.

First, make sure your ISO is Service pack 1.

You can use Gigabyte's tool to install USB 3.0 drivers on the image after flashing it with Rulfus.
