Should I upgrade to R7 5800X3D (AM4) or get a whole new motherboard?

My current PC (kinda poo):

ASUS B450-E GAMING

R5 2600

RTX2060

16GB DDR4 3GHZ (Idk the latency number CL- )

  1.  Is R7 5800X3D fully compatible with ASUS B450-E GAMING (latest BIOS as of 2024 february)? LOL, please excuse my ignorance!
  2.  Is R7 5800X3D the best AM4 socket CPU on the market right now? Does any other AM4 CPU beat it in terms of gaming performance?
  3. How much of an improvement would I see approximately with aforementioned CPU in games? Would the improvement be drastic or slight?

OR

Should I just purchase a whole new motherboard and save myself all the bother? Does socket AM5 offer enough benefits over AM4 to justify much higher prices? for example, DDR5 RAM modules can reach above 6000Mhz even.

In such a scenario, however, my current CPU and RAM go straight into the trash can, sadly.

Thank you for the replies in advance.

#1 Yes it should be, just needs a bios update.

#2 Yes,  it is by far the best gaming CPU on AM4.

#3. With your GPU its gonna be a decent bump, but with a much faster GPU it would be double to triple the performance in some games. I would consider getting a better GPU.

probably not as big as you think, the gpu isnt the fastest , that'll hold you back.

what games do you currently experience issues with, if any?
