4060 Ray Traycing and Path Tracing

Why do people not recommend playing with RT and Path Tracing on the 4060 especially with the mobile version? I played Cyberpunk with full Path Tracing and Ray Tracing and I got between 70-90 FPS on mobile GPU. It runs fine. So why don't people recommend it?

Because performance is lacking. Your 70-90 FPS is just being inflated by Frame gen. Its performance without that gimmick is much lower. Id suspect you have lowered quite a lot of settings to get that to work. Frame Gen just adds to much latency for a shooter game.

No the settings were on as high as they would. And I did not notice and latency.

Probably because at 1080p with RT Overdrive you are getting around 35-40 FPS which is for most people too low of a base frame rate to enjoy the game.

You do you though if it works for you then enjoy.

I’d imagen it’s 1080p dlss auto which would go to ultra performance so 360p and plus frame gen

AUTO uses basic rules like DLSS P for 4K and DLSS Q for 1080p, it's still a preset but its basic and doesn't actually change what it does based on other settings. It's a simpler preset for people who have no idea about DLSS, so its best practices are done for you.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

I thought it was like auto render res where if you go under 60 it drops a notch
