Why 4k TV is useless for humain

Resolution is just a number.

Frame rate is just a number.

Someone told Luke and Linus at CES 2017 to "Unban the legend known as Jerakl" and that's about all I've got going for me. (It didn't work)

invalid as again likewith fps/hz you can quantify the human eye as it doesn't see in pixels or frames your eye sees in continous moving paths of light   so infinite fps and theoretical infinitely higher resolutions will always be better :P and even IF YOU can't tell someone else can, and there's no reason to hold back technology I'd personally love it if the bottle neck in gaming was the HUMAN (ie you or me) then noone could ever blame anything on anyone but themselves....

People will believe this because it has numbers in it to make it look complicated as you glance through it.

Its complete shit.

If 4k was useless why does it look better than our 'current' HD screens?

Also, the entire point of getting higher PPI screens is that you DONT see the pixels. Youre kind of missing the point of 4k.

Pretty much this.

Next on my list is a nice 4k TV but I need to move to Korea first won't buy a nice big 4k screen to find out I have nowhere to put it in a little apartment :P

I love my 55" UHD. Upscaling 1080p to UHD is also noticeable. I can tell from my couch when the network is streaming 1080p or when it's UHD. I've tested myself. When I notice it doesn't look 4K, I hit info and sure enough it says 1080p.

First of all, humain eye can only see 76/38/25 PPI(pixel per inch) at 1/2/3m.

Here, we'll compare UHD(3840x2160) vs. FHD(1920x1080)

On a 55" tv:

the spatial resolution for a FHD is 40PPI and for the UHD is 80PPI

So, we can see a difference at 1 meter, at 2 or 3 meter, both will look same.

Sorry to tell you, but I can see all of my 46" fhd tv's pixels from 3 metres. Try again.

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨
