AMD EPYC VS INTEL XEON

Greetings,

I work in a company which we need to purchase new server for ERP usage. I am tasked to get offers from official vendors. We need at least a 24 or 32-core system but I cant tell if Epyc series is as reliable as Xeon since on pure perfomance Epyc is the way to go.  Epyc or Intel? Reliability is our top concern with perfomance second. I would like to apologise for my poor english.

Epycs been taking over the server market at a steady rate due to having flat out better operatings costs and purchasing prices starting from 24 cores and well are more performant.

However the first real question is. Can your erp software even use more than 1 core or hell 4,8,... else you'd be purchasing a device non fit for the usecase.

As for reliability these chips are equally reliable. Board, ram,... those all depend on who else makes them. But the pure chips are totally fine.
