I am not able to connect my headphones through wire to X570-A PRO (MS-7C37) mother board.

Evilangle

Hello there,

My cabinet's front IO isn't working properly, so I looked at the mother board schematics. I believe I will be unable to connect my headphones to the Mother Board; please advise if this is not the case. I currently have front speakers on the system, and I would prefer not to change them. Sorry for the simple query, but please guide me.

Get a USB audio adapter (sound card or DAC) and use that.

May also be able to plug into the monitor.  Either way will require manually switching between headphones and speakers.

A USB DAC is the easiest solution to your problem, USB-A to USB-C female with an Apple Type-C dongle (or Abigail CX1993 if you aren't in the USA) will do a great job for very small amounts of money, or if you want something a bit more futureproof (or just want more features) then a Fosi DS1 is an absolutely great buy at the moment

Just plug it into the back of the motherboard. You have 5 analog ports and if you have front speakers, you are only using one of the 5. They can be reassigned in the realtek software to any device (headphones, fronts, reads etc)

Wouldn't using the rear audio ports be the easiest? No need to buy extra hardware unless you are specifically looking for better quality.

Headphone onboard audio is wayyyy more susceptible to problems like hissing, static and poor volume control, easier to get a DS1 and have full control over the potential issues before they can become a problem

Sure, but it is still easier than buying a DAC.

My headphones mic doesn't work with the other ports in the motherboard. I will try to buy the necessary things to solve the issue. Thanks a lot everyone for the help.
