Battlefield 4 won't update...

So, I've just finished re-building my PC into a White Enthoo Primo temporarily, and thought I'd install Battlefield 4. I have a physical copy, so I installed it from the disc. When it finished, and was "verifying files" an error popped up saying it was unable to connect to the server. I tried going in and manually clicking "update" but it still fails and an error pops up asking me to check my connection, and it's fine.

I've tried re-installing it, but to no avail.

Anyone got any other ideas? Any help would be great!

Thanks,

Reset your router and/or modem to be sure the connection is OK.  Then if it still has an issue "connecting" is likely on Origin's end...

check your hosts file and see if you blocked origin servers somehow.

Okay, I'll try that

Don't worry about the flippin' host file.  That's not the issue.  If origin worked for you before it will work again.  Origin is often less than reliable.

There weren't any problems on my end. It's just Origin being a douche. (which actually means shower in French, I recently discovered)
