Which mousemat? Steelseries 4hd vs Razer goliathus soft mat

doomed2fail

I recently purchased a death adder 2013 (still in the post) and I'm gonna upgrade my mousemat as well. I currently use a generic soft mat and I've never had any issues with it. But unfortunately it's pretty frayed at the edges and it is time for a new one.

I'm not a huge fan of hard mouse mats, I find them slippy and awkward. Which is why I have not bought a 4hd already, I'm worried it has too much in common with hard mats.

Some input on the topic would be much appreciated.

The Razer Goliathus mats are excellent. I have two "Control" types in my house, both used with Logitech mice (A G9x and G602). Even though I'm a FPS gamer, I find the Control types to be smooth enough.

I've never liked hard mats myself either. Steelseries makes very good soft mats too, I use two QcK to hold my keyboard and mouse which is as low as half the price of the Goliathus if you don't mind boring black.

There are some more exciting ones if you look around though.

If you do not want a hard pad but still want better glide than a common cloth pad, take a look at a hybrid pad such as Zowie P-TF Speed.
