NEED ADVICE: FIRST PC BUILD

Budget (including currency): 1.5-1.8k AUD

Country: Australia

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: GAMING + ENGINEERING PROGRAMS

https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/yfQtkJ

Monitor not on pcpartpicker but is: Acer Nitro ED270UP2 WQHD FreeSync 170Hz 27in Curved Monitor

Advice for: Is the GPU I've selected worth the price considering the rest of my parts + is it viable for the monitor above (1440p + 170hz) or should I look at changing one of them. (Monitor has a $100 off sale) + is PSU good enough

Any other suggestions regarding any other part will be greatly appreciated.

Still need to buy keyboard but that is something for later.

12600kf + 6750xt + 32gb 3200c16

Just a straight up overhaul

the 12600kf annihilates the 5700x especially in singlecore and you can oc it further if you like

32gb 3200c16, the 2 valid xmp bins that are set and forget would be 3200c16 and 3600c18, 3600c16 is a ripoff since you can tighten a 3600c18 kit down to the same primaries as a non bdie 3600c16 though not sure why youd do that over tightening the subs and cranking the freq where the performance is actually at since the primaries will give you next to nothing for performance

Upgraded ssd from a dramless higher end ssd to a top end dram ssd thats pretty much the same class as a 990 pro and whatnot, it wasnt much more than the nm790 so might aswell

Cut down some cost on the case but thats personal preference

Upgraded to a 750w psu that still retains a 10 year warranty

As for the gpu just make sure none of your programs require an nvidia card or run better with an nvidia card, but if this is hobby engineering work and not a source of income this doesnt matter that much

i really wouldnt reccomend buying a last gen card new so unless new is somehow cheaper than used aka your local used market is garbage i reckon you can find a used 6800(xt) at a similar price to the 6750xt

If you arent constrained to matx the z690 aero g offers more i/o and built in wifi, decent atx cases are available for ~80aud like the df700 flux

Id say techbois build is the better option since it offers a better cpu rn

Check the used shops there thovuht tjey were called cex? They have a limited time warranty on used cards and a 6800xt is in budget

did you find a specific one within budget? I!ve been looking around and they seem to be in the $700s at cex.
