do i need extra strips for this?

I want to put some led/rgb strips on the backside of my desk to add some lights to my future setup. but i couldn't find anything about where to plug them. i found some that plug into a normal outlet, but then i have to turn them on manually. can i plug them in my motherboard with a usb cable, so that they turn on, when my pc turns on? or do i have to connect them with my wifi? i also thought about connecting them with a 5V3 pin connector to an argb hub/controller, but i don't know how to get the strip out of my case and i also wont want to make holes in it. like, how can i controll them with a software (like signalRGB) without them being connected to a RGB hub/controller

I know that RGB doesn't make my PC 10 times faster...but at least 2 times

can you also suggest some rgb strips for a 34 inch ultrawide monitor (from iiyama) that can be synched with my pc? pricerange at around 35$
