Using velcro in my gaming pc to hold up an ssd a safety/fire hazard?

Thought about that just gotta find a place i can use them

either directly using zip tie on the SSD

or

mount the velcro to the case using zip tie so you don't have to worry about adhesive failing due to prolonged exposure to heat.

Example where I'd try to mount it if going non velcro

Or you know,

2. place it at where drive bays supposed to be at and find anchor point for zip tie there.

3. Place and zip tie on top of the PSU cover, since there's holes on it.

Or go whole-hog with VHB tape. Make @AlexTheGreatish proud!

Ah yeah, I thought about recommending that too. I use them a lot irl for various things.
But it can be kinda hard to remove sometimes, especially for the "untrained"

Command strips and plain old mounting tape work too.

Yeah you can use velcro. The worst things that might happen is either. A) it falls because the adhesive gets to hot,is unlikely though. B) It gets the inside of the case sticky. If you deem it worth the ABSOLUTELY TINY risk of these problems occurring, and the non existent problems that these would cause, go for it, otherwise don’t. It’s that simple.

Hey quick question if i place the ssd on the upper part where the hhd bay was and zip tie it on the roof of it using the holes above would that work?

I don't see why it wouldn't.

Pretty much any place where there's an anchor point for the zip tie will work.

yer talking to a man who once :

Use duct tape to mount his ssd somewhere in his pc case (I don't recommend this, the adhesive residue was kinda annoying to remove after awhile)

Hot glued reusable zip ties to places in his pc case to use it as cable management & ssd mount

Use craft foam to mount a 120mm fan in front of the case, in 5.25" bay. (Proof below)

so.... yep. Be creative, XD

There's foam on both sides of the fan, holding it in place. Nowhere to screw the fan into, really.

? just snip the ties, then reapply a new one.
They're dirt cheap

Unless you wanna use a reusable ones like I did for some DIY

You can also loop 2 ties apart, slid velcro through both of them, then tighten the ties.

Use the velcro to hold the SSD

I do recommend 2 velcros , but if its not possible, 1 is fine as well, just a bit "dangly"

I can't believe something so simple has gained so much traction.
