i just found out my z87 mb supports i7 4790 

i was going to buy 4771 but now 4790 is out 

is 4790 any better than 4771?

Those two chips are essentially the same thing, with a .1ghz clock boost. I hate intel so much, what is the point of all the  useless refreshes.

Why? I'm getting a K-CPU even though I'm probably not gonna overclock, but still, why would you regret it?

Because I got one thinking I would never want to overclock because of the risks involved. Now, I wish I could overclock.

I'm probably not gonna do video editing so even if I did overclock I wouldn't see any benefit from it.
