My R5 3600x is bottlenecking my rx 6750xt

I recently upgraded to the RX 6750XT from a GTX 1080 and I've noticed 100% CPU usage while gaming so I'm guessing its a CPU bottleneck

If I upgrade to a Ryzen 7 5700X will that remove the bottleneck?

I know the 5800x3D is better but where I am it's double the price of the 5700X and I just bought a new GPU so my budget is pretty limited

other things to note is that i have a B450 board, beQuiet Dark Rock 4 cooler and a 750w Seasonic PSU

Thanks in advance :)

The bump alone from Zen 2 to Zen 3 will be an eye opener for sure. I would say go for it.

yeah... i guess.... but! WHAT GAME??

thing is my 3600 didn't "bottleneck" my 3070, which is faster than your 6750xt.

so the question is will a new cpu really help, or rather what are you even doing that its @ "100%"

tldr: sure buy a new cpu, but don't be surprised if it doesn't change much... its a gamble (because we basically know nothing as for what games settings resolution background processes malware etc etc)

Yeah that's my bad,I don't play a lot of games, I've noticed this On battlefield 2042 mostly, I play on 1080p@144Hz, on battlefield the CPU usage is at max on low, medium settings with frequent fps drops, drops down a bit on high/ultra

As for background processes, I usually have steam, discord, fan control and the standard windows services (windows 11 pro)

ok, i mean its possible that  some games will be more cpu bound of course. just to make sure i would check with msi afterburner overlay how much each core is used... this is just my experience from being on here, when people say "100%" im always skeptical how it was even measured... do you mean like *all* cores are at 100% or...?

Just curious,  but yes, if it regularly hits 100% (even just on 1 core) then a better cpu might help, but its not guaranteed (tbh the 5800x3D is better,  but not that much, especially single core performance, maybe a 5700x would even make more sense here,  still not guaranteed)

the issue is MSI Afterburner doesn't show up in Bf2042 but through task manager, if I'm not mistken all cores were at 100%
