Hey guys,

I have a couple of VirtualBox VMs running on my Win 11 host. The issue is that I *cannot* type in the terminal windows of any of them. If I mouse over to any other window or text editor, I can type just fine. Terminal? I get nothing.

I've been using VirtualBox on and off for over a decade and have never seen this before with Linux guests on a Windows host.

Any thoughts?

Kinda reminds me of how Chrome Remote Desktop doesn't let you interact with Admin level CMD or change most windows settings. Could it be a weird security issue?

You could try the VM Windows onscreen keyboard as a workaround.

OK This is wild behavior. I brought up the Windows OSK, clicked to type a few characters and that worked. But then I closed the OSK and typing in the terminal worked normally. I can't make sense of it. If it was some sort of keyboard capture issue, I wouldn't be able to type anywhere inside the VM's window. Only the terminal is affected.
