Help with Deepcool ch560 display

I've just built my first pc but the digital display on my Deepcool ch560 isn't turning on and i have connected it to the USB pin it would be helpful if someone could tell me if i have done something wrong or if its faulty.

If you connected it properly and gave it power AND data it should at least light up. If not it might be a broken module
