the two builds

Go to solution Solved by RONOTHAN##,

Get the 2nd build but spend the little bit extra on 32GB of RAM rather than just buying a single stick. Even if you do just get a single stick, the 6800 XT makes it significantly better, but saving up an extra ~$30 for a system that will be a fair bit faster just makes more sense.

It's not that bad, you just have to deal with incredibly long boot times. You just don't have as much headroom or the creature comforts like safe boot or realtime timing adjustments that you do on Intel (if you're only going for something like 7200 I'd much rather be overclocking on Intel). Still, just getting that far is more than a lot of people want to deal with.

So as long as we stay in slow speeds like <6400 tuning should be relatively easy?

hope newer imcs are gonna be better since current imcs are a complete joke if theyre still struggling with dual rank

Yeah, speeds lower than 6400 are fairly easy and they either work or they don't.

The current ICs don't really struggle with dual rank though, in 1:1 mode Ryzen 7000 clocks the exact same with dual rank and single rank, and Intel is still more than capable of 6400+. The issues come up with quad rank, which were never really great to begin with on older platforms, though admittedly are even worse on DDR5.

So all they gotta do now is figure out quad rank and dual rank issues have mostly been fixed considering how badly 12th gen handled dual rank

in that case ill problably wanna buy some more dual rank sticks to test quad rank on ddr3 platforms since dual rank doesnt seem to be much of an issue for imcs considering i can run 2000 with relative ease on a 6x4 config with a crappy x xeon imc (downclocked to 1900 cause garbage p6x58de that wont bclk for shit), since all the 4gbit ics have atrocious trfc, and also a better gigabyte or whatever other board that doesnt have the retarded forced uncore ratio like asus (maybe dfi or foxconn?) Cause i cant test triple channel properly

heyy, i finally found a great mobo which is absolutely bang for buck even more then my previous suggestion of gigabyte ds3h b650m,

https://www.flipkart.com/asrock-b650m-hdv-motherboard/p/itm1a2583f5f81b9?pid=MBDGT3V9GSHZ3T9A

here it is i guess its perfect for a build with 7600, providing a great upgradibility path

gen 5 m.2 support and 2 dimm support and i guess thats enough for me i dont think i will be upgrading to 64 gb any time soon

and i heard it support great memory oc but i am not much aware of that as mostly good oc rams are not available in india

Yeah, that's a solid motherboard considering the price, not many people really need anything more than that.
